Portland Buddhist Festival 2007

as my eyes blink

In my neighborhood park, there was recently a festival of the Buddhist faith. I was amazed with the representation from the vast Buddhist diaspora -- all in the Portland area! The gathering's emphasis was on education and networking. There were discussions and ritual demonstrations, blessings, and many heartfelt smiles on hand. Love and kindness were indeed the day's intention. An engaged audience and flow of onlookers got to both see and feel what Buddhism is all about.
