In the summer of 1991, after I graduated highschool and right before I was to move into the international dormitory at the university, I went to Natal in North East Brasil. I had received a scholarship to go -- it was my first time out of the United States. I lived with a middle class family for 2 1/2 months. It was an amazing experience. I think about Brasil often. One day in the not to far future, I hope to go back to this country with such beautiful peoples.
